Christopher D a more accessible version of Khanate, but just as harrowing and sadistic. alan dubin's vocals have room to breathe and expand here from more than just sinister shrieking. song structures are compact but feel sprawlingly massive at the same time. would love to witness them live. Favorite track: Humming.

Wil Wright A truly terrifying, electronic/experimental approach to doom metal. Favorite track: This Horrible Chamber.

WIPP Bleaker than hell and noisy sludge soaked industrial drone. Practically a stripped down Khanate. Favorite track: Vulture.

Horrible things come in small packages, and this October GNAW delivers their second full length serving titled "Horrible Chamber" on CD and LP via Seventh Rule Recordings.

The band has chewed through venues across the US and Europe since their debut LP ("This Face" from 2009 on Conspiracy Records) and the extra length in the teeth is immediately evident in the new material. While the debut was fashioned almost exclusively from basement experimentation and assemblage, "Horrible Chamber" evidences the band in the studio pounding through live material just as often as building sounds and textures from scratch.

Audial signposts along the way include Swans, Autopsy, Diamanda Galas, Black Sabbath, and children's music as well as previous projects by the band personnel and contributors: Khanate, OLD, Ikeyard, & Burning Witch.

Pressed on SILVER P19 with RED#3 Haze (Ltd to 100 Copies and exclusive to mailorder).

Dur de définir qu'elle est le meilleur album de GODFLESH, en fait ils ont tous leur singularité. Je trouve que sur cet album GODFLESH a atteint une sorte de perfection à leur musique, à la fois froide, brutale et industrielle mais aussi envoûtante et mentale. Cet album est un condensé du meilleur de GODFLESH, c'est pour moi l'album de la consécration. Je vais mettre "BE GOD" en titre préféré pour sa puissance, lourde et complètement mystique mais tous les titres sont excellents. gaston_macoute
