this song is an hour and a half of tension and atmosphere. the fact that a part of it is dedicated to a late band member makes it even more powerful. if you have that long to listen to an album I would highly recommend it katsumashi
Creating a dark, heavy, and yet tranquil atmosphere, Bell Witch are quintessential Funeral Doom, and that without guitars. All their albums are, while slightly varying in tone and atmosphere, masterpieces of the sub-genre. Dragonsmoke
It's rare that an album hits me so personally. I come from a family of multiple generations of coal miners, and some of which were involved in the Coal Wars and the protests. Also, as a folk and blackmetal fan, the album feels almost as if it was made for me personally, as a love letter to my family before me, and everyone who lived and struggled in the Appalachian mines. Incredible, beautiful, and special record like none other. calibercross
